Edai Kal Mittai is a popular snack that originated from Tamil Nadu, India, during the 1990s. It is made by mixing jaggery and peanuts, which are then rolled into small balls and flattened into a disc shape. The disc shape gives the snack its unique name, as “kal” in Tamil means flat.
